James McAvoy stars as Detective-Sergeant Bruce Robertson in this corruption and cocaine-fuelled police drama. Conniving his way towards a promotion, Bruce will stop at nothing to shaft his fellow officers (and one’s wife) on his way to the top. But a brutal murder and a messy, and somewhat complicated, marriage leaves this brutal Glasgow anti-hero battling with his mental faculties. Full of sex, drugs and one eclectic roll call, this black comedy is filthier than a deep-fried Mars bar and just as unpredictable.
